SalesMaster^® - Playing by Position

The objective in this version of the game is to get as far round the board as possible in the time allowed whilst making the most money.

Set up and play is exactly the same as when Playing by Colour but with the following differences:

• 1. Players all start from the same position (the hexagon marked “Start” at the seven o'clock position on the board)
• 2. Cards are drawn from the question pile at random. (GamesMasters have the option of arranging the cards in a predetermined order in order that the teams have to answer specific questions in the order that he or she determines).
• 3. Only one player is allowed on a hexagon at any one time. If the throw of the dice causes two pieces to occupy the same hexagon, then the second team pays £20 for an upgrade and moves one space ahead or one space behind the other team at their option.
• 4. If a player lands on a penalty or bonus hexagon they pick up a Penalty/Bonus card and follow the appropriate instructions.
• 5. If a team does not have enough money to comply with the terms of a penalty card or to pay a fine, then they go back to the start.

Each question card contains a reference to part of the Track Selling sales system. This can be accessed using the URL, username and password you were given when you placed your order. Each module of the sales system contains slides, a detailed transcript, online tests and further information on the skills and techniques discussed and should be used as a reference source to support any knowledge gaps identified when playing the game.
